Though not entirely indigenous, this exciting mix of Muri(puffed rice) ,chanachur, chutni and much more is just about enough to make you crave for more.

Getting its name from Mughalai cuisine , Moghlai has to be amongst the top 10 street foods in Kolkata.The dough filling with egg and bread crumbs , deep fried and served with masala potato and salad will surely make your tongue go slrpppppp!

This Nepali delicacy was an instant hit once it arrived in Kolkata few years back and has been on the test buds of every Calcuttan ever since. The interesting stuffing steamed in dough and combined with a tasty soup makes it quite a popular steet food in Kolkata.

If there is anything that has matched to the romance of Shah rukh Khan and Kajol in DDLJ. It has to be a Bengali breakfast with  Kochuri and Aloor jhol. Now it may seem too heavy for breakfast. But its never too heavy for a Calcuttan  to start the day with this treat. Dada ektu jhol din toh!

Though not particularly to enrich your taste buds.But a visit to a tea stall in Kolkata is worth because to Kolkata a tea is not just a tea and a tea stall is just not a tea stall.  A "Chaer dokan" is a place where you can make or break relationships and importantly where half of you Gk gets updated.
